Not for the faint hearted

Kway Chap has got to be one of my favorite dishes ever! I'm kinda glad that I was introduced to this dish early in life coz if someone was to tell me that eating a pig's intestines, skin and stomach is delicious, I would seriously have my doubts. But I am not kidding! The pig's intestines, skin and stomach, when done right, is really most enjoyable to eat! The texture is chewy and feeling the slightly gooey innards slide down my throat is shiok!

In Amoy Street Market, there is a Teochew Kway Chap stall with quite a few certificates pinned up. This stall is run by 1 man when I was there, so the wait was quite long as he chops up the pig's innards for each individual order.

And the result is well worth the wait! The herbal soup was bursting with flavour. The rice flour noodles was silky smooth. And the plate of pig's innards, toufu, tao kee, egg and preserved vegetables was heavenly! Yummy!
