back to Koryo

The great thing about this restaurant is will definately have space for a large crowd (for my group, it was 16 people) on a Sunday night.
We are usually given a corner of the restaurant where we can make all the noise we want without worrying of disturbing other patrons of the restaurant. Well to be mean, it's to say that the crowd is pretty thin there.

Ordered the huge beef hotpot again. Kinda forgot how large the hotpot was. Now, when I am reading my last post on that place, we shared it with 9 the last time. This time round, it was 4 of us per hotpot. We ate till we were full!

Tried their fried squid and prawns. Nothing fantastic here. I believe the batter used was just floor and water - resulting in an unimpressive coating for the fried seafood. By the time it reached our table, the coating was kinda soggy.
Some ordered the Chicken Ginseng Soup. This dish was a downer. The soup was terrible! Absolutely no taste of ginseng at all! It tasted like water that was soaked in chicken. There was no robustness in the soup base. Plus the chicken was tough and tasteless.
Their barbecue faired slightly better. I only took a tiny piece of pork belly. I think the key to a good Korean barbecue is the quality of the meats which will give it it's flavour. I have eaten better Korean Barbecues.

But I say again. The only time we would go there is when we need a restaurant that can accomodate a large crowd without prior reservations.
