Packed Food

Eating is a joy. The quality of food is important. But also important is its presentation and the environment where the food is consumed. I was on a conference recently and packed lunch was provided.

The first day, I choose Chinese food. It was generally quite good. Just that the food was a little cold and the fried dumpling was a little soggy - kinda expected as the steam from the rice would make the dumplings soggy. But the broccoli was really good!

Day 2, I choose Western Food. Think the joy of Western Food is more often than not, lost when it is packed. Unless it's a sandwich. The Squid Rings was soggy and oily. The sauce for the Carbonara was terrible! It was some tasteless paste, probably made out of powder. And sliced picnic ham instead of bacon? Sigh... The huge piece of fish was not good either.
